Distribution of human response times
نویسندگان
چکیده
Human response time (RT) is defined as the time delay between a signal and the starting point of human action. For example, one can measure time interval from a word appearing on a computer screen to when a participant pushes a keyboard button to indicate his or her response. Two well established empirical facts of RT are the power law tails of RT distributions [1] and 1/f noise of RT time series [2–5], to which any theoretical description must conform.

Selective deficits in human audition: evidence from lesion studies
The human auditory cortex is the gateway to the most powerful and complex communication systems and yet relatively little is known about its functional organization as compared to the visual system. Several lines of evidence, predominantly from recent studies, indicate that sound recognition and sound localization are processed in two at least partially independent networks. Evidence from human...

متن کاملDynamic Modeling and Controller Design of Distribution Static Compensator in a Microgrid Based on Combination of Fuzzy Set and Galaxy-based Search Algorithm
This paper presents a nonlinear controller for a Distribution Static Compensator (DSTATCOM) of a microgrid incorporating the Distributed Generation (DG) units. The nonlinear control has been designed based on partial feedback linearization theory and Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers try to adjust the voltage and trace the output. This paper has proposed a combination of a fuz...
متن کاملA Mathematical Model for City Logistics Distribution Network Design with the Aim of Minimizing Response Time
Recently, urbanization has been expanded rapidly in the world and a number of metropolitan areas have been appeared with a population of more than 10 million people. Because of dense population in metropolitan and consequently increasing the delivery of goods and services, there has been a lot of problems including traffic congestion, air pollution, accidents and high energy consumption. This m...
متن کاملDetermination of dose-response relationship in cultured human lymphocytes for biological dosimetry
Background: Lymphocyte-dicentric assay is the most generally accepted method for biological dosimetry of overexposed individuals. In this study, the frequency of unstable chromosome aberration in blood lymphocytes was used to estimate radiation dose received by individuals. Evaluation of dose using a calibration curve produced elsewhere may have a significant uncertainty therefore, experiments ...
متن کاملToward a Smart Distribution System Expansion Planning by Considering Demand Response Resources
This paper presents a novel concept of "smart distribution system expansion planning (SDEP)" which expands the concept of demand response programs to be dealt with the long term horizon time. The proposed framework, integrates demand response resources (DRRs) as virtual distributed generation (VDG) resources into the distribution expansion planning. The main aim of this paper is to develop and ...
